ARGO
Directed by: Ben Affleck

Argo is a historical movie which is adapted from true story about the Argo Mission. It tells about the captivity of workers in the USA Embassy due the height of the 1979 hostage crisis which has arisen between USA and Iran. The Iranians attack the USA Embassy and take control of it. All the embassy personnel there get panic and confuse of course. They already know that it will happen, so they have prepared for the worst. They have been shredding all the documents which might expose some of important stuffs about their country. They also shred all the personnel identities in order the Iranians will not know who they are. 6 out of them do not want to be hostages. They decide to escape from the exit door. They hide in the house of Canadian diplomat. Meanwhile in USA, the CIA get panic to know this news because they know the Iranian revolution army will do some cruel things to their people. They also do not know what to do, but then the CIA knows that 6 of them escaped successfully and shelter in the Canadian diplomat’s house. Their main focus now is to figure out the best way to take them out of Iran. Tony Mendez, one of the CIA agents, finds the best of the bad ideas. He tells about the Argo Mission. Argo is actually a play which written by Lester Siegel, Tony intend to make a fake-movie-production. He gets inspired while watching The Battle of Apes. He says that that fake production takes scene in Iran, it will be the reason for him to get into Iran and take the 6 Americans there. To make the movie seems real, they make publication about it, just like any other upcoming films. This plan runs smoothly. The day when he goes to Iran finally comes. He has been equipped by so many preparations, such as, fake identity, 6 fake yellow slips, etc. The operation begins, he starts it very well.  He passes through all the security checks and gets permission to make movie there. He finally makes it through the house of Canadian diplomat. When he arrives, he directly tells the plan to take them out of there. They don’t trust Tony right away, they scare to be hanged or shot just like any other unlucky Americans before. To shorten it, after so many directions given by Tony to those 6 Americans, they decide to do this completely-suicide-mission. Although at almost last minute, the head of CIA canceled this mission, Tony firms up his intention to take them out because he thinks that he is the one who is responsible for them. When they arrive at the airport, the thrilling moments happen. At the first procedural checking, they all pass. But at the second one which is the yellow slip-checking, there is a little bit problem because the officers get suspicious toward them, but at the end they still pass through it. On the last and most frustrated checking, they are not passed by the Iranian revolution armies directly. All of them are taken to a room to be asked some intense questions. Luckily one of them speaks Parsi so he can answer their questions. One of the army does the final check by calling the fake-production house telephone number. At the last minute, John Chambers picks up the phone and answer the tricky question smoothly. Finally, the 7 of American yet masquerade as Canadians pass through the final checking and enter to the plane. At the very last minutes, the Iranian armies know that they are actually the 6 missing American whom they look for. They chase the plane but unfortunately they are too late, the 7 Americans have successfully escaped from Iran to their country, USA. When they arrive there, the government of USA is forever thankful to the Canadian Embassy which already helped them through this mission. For Tony Mandez, he is awarded an Intelligence star.
Now let me give some opinions about this movie. First of all, Ben Affleck is so awesome indeed. He is the main factor why this movie is so wondrous. Besides that, the script is well-made I think. It has its tense scenes on the right places. The viewers always feel their adrenaline rush in, particularly in some scenes where Tony and other 6 embassy personnel have to deal with the Iranians. Indeed it is a historical movie, but it doesn’t make me as viewer feel bored at all because the movie runs very smoothly. Then I do not know it is just me or not, but I am really curious to know this story according to the Iranian. This movie (of course) taken from the American point of view only, this is why we feel sorry to them. We feel sorry to see they got shot or hanged or captivated brutally. Furthermore, I curse the Iranians revolution armies for what they have done toward the Americans. Since I am totally blind about this history, I just can understand this movie from one perspective. But thanks that blindness, I want to know more about this history. The last, through some quests, no wonder why I feel so astonished after watching this movie. This movie has won best picture, best adapted screenplay, best film editing, movie of the year, best film, best director, best picture, best motion picture-drama, special achievement in film making, etc in many award nominations. From those tremendous achievements, I can tell you that this movie is worth to be saluted.

Movie Review: Les Misérables

Yes, I've just watched this movie. I'm dying to know how long it takes to watch this amazing movie. I'd love to give you the review, based on my opinion ofc. Let's start it.
First, I give a very high appreciation to all the casts of this movie. Their acting is so admirable, I can't even taunt them for what they're doing. Really I mean to act and sing at the same time? Not mention again that you have to do that in the midst of other casts too? geez, you must highly-talented and trained to do that impossible things. Don't forget too that they don't just do sing and act. What they've done are the stunning pieces of art itself. "The film's vocals were recorded live on set using live piano accompaniments played through earpieces as a guide, with the orchestral accompaniment recorded in post-production" (Source: Les Miserable/wikipedia ). I just literally jaw-drop when I know the fact that they sing and act live on the set.
Next, this movie has successfully made me beyond than just curious to find out more about The France Revolution itself. Because it took my attention so much about the sufferings which were felt by the French back to early 19th century. I wanna know about the history of it.
Besides that, I highly adore uncle Hugh Jackman a lot~ Please be my uncle! I'm in love with the way you put that character into the role you play. You're the definition of legend, sir! No one would be dare to against that marked sentence! No one, I'll swear in any different languages I could speak!
And all the songs in this movie just chills me~~ uuuuuh I love it, most of all, I love "on my own" which is sung by Samantha Barks who plays as Eponine.
But yah just like any other academy awards movies, it's kinda boring sometime for you to watch a heavy kind of movie, you know? Do you get what I'm trying to picture here?
Don't get it wrong, I love this movie (a lot moreover) but to be honest just like any unprofessional movie watchers, I also felt boring due the length of the movie itself.
In brief, I recommend you to spend your free time by watching this astonish movie ;)

Movie Review: Hansel & Gretel (Witch Hunter)

Last week, when I traveled to Bekasi with Delia to meet Chika there. We kinda confused where to go, then Chika decided to take us to MM (if I'm not mistaken) then we went to the theater. Actually first we kinda confused what to watch because the movie that we wanted to watch which is Les Miserable haven't showed yet in that theater. So, we decided to watch "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters". Okay let me give the review for this movie.

Hansel and Gretel: The Witch Hunter is directed by Tommy Wirkola, this movie is an adaptation from German Folktale "Hansel and Gretel" that written by Brother Grimm. This story tells about an adult version of those two siblings which were "abandoned"by their parents in the deep forest when they were little. At that time, they saw a house made by candies, they couldn't resist the temptation which was given by that house. So, they started to eat that "house". Then, they entered to that house, in there they met a wicked witch. They were trapped in that house, the wicked witch made Gretel as her slave, and Hansel as her food. But because Hansel was too skinny for her, so she fed Hansel with a lot of candies. To shorten the story, finally with some intelligences, those two siblings could defeat that wicked witch. Started from that day, they became famous witch hunters who traveled from one village to another to make money by eradicating those witches. Until they come to Ausburg where  there was a big issue that some of the children there were kidnapped by the witch. When they arrived at that town, they thwarted the execution of Mina who was accused as witch. To shoretn it again, they met the actual black witches who kidnapped those childrens. They found out Muriel was the one behind it all, she was the main reason behind the death of her mother too, Adrianna who turned to be a white witch which meant that both Hansel and Gretel were the witches as well. With the help of Mina that turned out to be the white witch as well, they could defeat Muriel and saved the children there, and ofc earn some money.
Muriel
I think the line of the story is just so-so, I don't find any surprise from the story itself. It's just so disappointed because the quality of the two great main actors; Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton were wasted. Besides that, for me myself, I can't stand to watch the blood-splashes every time. I just can't! No wonder why this movie is categorized as an adult movie. Moreover, I hear that in some cinemas there's an obligation for the audiences to show their ID card when they wanna watch this movie.
Next, the romance which is tried to be involved in the story is just , I don't know I don't really like it. Instead of Mina and Hansel, I think the chemistry between Hansel and Gretel were bigger and more believable.

But besides that, the effects from this story is stunning. I like it~a lot. In brief, for you who like action-horror dark fantasy film with black comedy elements, you'd better watch this. But you who prefer a soft kind of movie, you'd better watch other movies ;)

Love your other half

Hi...I just arrived a few minutes ago after watched another movie hahaha. Yes I watched movie 2 days in a road. For this time, I watched "Habibie&Ainun" the movie. The movie was directed based on a novel with the same tittle with it. The novel itself is a biography of Mr.Habibie (ex-president of Indonesia). It's a very heart-breaking movie. I can't hold my tears from running upon my cheeks. The quality of the characters' acting is worth to be saluted. Their acting brings you into another dimension, they bring you to the real time when everything was happened toward Mr.Habibie and Mrs.Ainun.

“Saya dilahirkan untuk Ainun dan Ainun dilahirkan untuk saya”

What I'm gonna talk about this time is about true love. Ya this movie is trying to tell the audiences about the true love that lasting that long between Mr.Habibie and Mrs.Ainun. They construct their love in the middle of all barriers that came to them. Through any obstacles that they have to against, they still can manage their temper well and be there and give strength to each other. It's quite touching because in this era, there's just a few couples who can let go their ego when problems say hello to them.
So, after watched the movie, the first thing that came up to my mind is "who will be my Habibie?" "Who will take care of me in my old days? Whom I will take care of in his old days?" Those kind of questions running through my mind repeatedly. This movie teaches us a lot about how two people can be united as one in the name of love hahahaha (sorry for laughing). Yes it's quite taboo for a person like me to talk about love itself. But watching this movie could change everything. Make you questioning yourself whether you're going to be a good Ainun for your Habibie or not?
The point is, it's a well-recommended movie to be watched. For you whom already have no hope for Indonesian movie, you'd better watch it! you'd better see how Indonesian movie actually has its bright side, not just its dark side :p

I think that's all that I wanna share today. I'm too tired right now, my bed is calling, my pillow is singing a sweet lullaby to me, and my blanket is laying there with its warmest hug just for me myself and I.

When love meets friendship?

Hi.! Actually I just came home couple hours ago after watched "5cm" movie.
At first I wasn't really curious about this movie until so many people talk about this movie everyday and every time. So, I decided to ask my friends to watch it (rifsi&ega) but I ended up watching it with rifsi only because too sad ega couldn't join with us. She decided to watch "Habibie&Ainun" movie instead.
I'm not gonna tell you about the whole story line of that movie. I just wanna share things from this movie that catch my interest. First, I love this movie because it can trigger my love-meter to my beloved country, Indonesia. Second, I wonder what the actors felt when they took this movie because me myself so scare of height, and I couldn't even stand in a cold place because I'm allergic with "cold" weather. So, I just so curious to know their experiences during the shooting itself. Third, I wonder too whether I can be friend with all of my friends that long? I mean seriously, it's just so loooong for them to keep their friendship up until they build their own family.
The last, THE LOVE STORY OF THIS MOVIE! I can't even imagine myself replacing Riani's position. To love your old friend whom already you know so well, and you can't even tell to him that you love him and just wanna be with him. Then suddenly, BAM!! your other friend says that he loves you? Not mention again that at first, Zafran loved Dinda, but then Dinda actually loves Genta instead of Zafran. Isn't it a very complicated love story? But it turns out to be something that is sooooooooooooo cute! aaaaakh yes I've said that I can't imagine myself to be in Riani's position, but somehow I also envy her for being loved by a very cool family man, like Genta, and finally married with your friend whom you love since forever. AKKKKKKKHHHH Riani, I envy you <//3

Okay let's move to other topic, actually I was very happy today because finally I got a chance to meet and hang out with my friends (ega&rifsi) again. As usual, we talked a lot about anything! We talked about our college life, talked about our new friends, talked about our rented room, and many other things. Hours felt like seconds if you share it with your friends <3 Besides talking about our "new life". We also took some pictures together hahaha (so predictable). Here are some photos of us. Enjoy!
